(Contemporary) ASSOCIATE WORSHIP PASTOR

The role of the FBCR (Contemporary) Associate Worship Pastor (CWP) is to provide pastoral direction and leadership to the contemporary worship components (music, visual arts, and other creative arts) of the church while ensuring that the ministry objectives of the church are effectively and efficiently attained.  This position is designed to enhance the engagement of the congregation in the corporate worship experience.  The goal of the CWP is to glorify God and inspire a deeper commitment of our body to worship and service.  The CWP will be working very closely with the Young Adults Pastor and the Pastor of Worship and Creative Arts and will be especially focused on ensuring that young adults in the church are sufficiently connected to God and to each other especially in the various corporate worship experiences.  The CWP will have primary responsibility of planning and organizing the Sunday morning contemporary services and coordinating with the band and/or other worship teams.  The CWP will also have various responsibilities in media technical areas, which will include supporting all worship services.  The FBCR CWP supports and supervises the various lay leadership teams, assisting them and being a resource to them in order that the ministry objectives may be accomplished in the most God-honoring way for the betterment of the local church body. The CWP will lead in aligning applicable ministry teams with the FBCR mission and/or vision objectives established by the Church Council and the Senior Leadership Team (SLT). The CWP will ensure that the practices and activities of the contemporary worship ministry are carried out in accordance with established church policy as well as the mission and vision of the church. This requires a firm understanding of, and agreement with, the FBCR mission/vision statement, core values, church bylaws and strategic objectives.  The CWP reports to the Pastor of Worship and Creative Arts, with a dotted line to the Young Adults Pastor.
